Meet
Our Support Staff
A team effort plays a
huge part in our success. From the time your phone call is answered,
through every step of your case, a very qualified team works
together on your behalf.
Melinda
Kay Office Manager
Mindy has been with
the firm for over thirty years, since she was
a young girl out of business college. She has
literally grown up with the firm. The thing she
likes most about this firm is the fact that they
truly care about their clients and fighting for
the client's rights. She still finds her job
interesting after all these years because of the
variety of clients and cases the attorneys
handle.
Mindy has been a member of the Girl Scouts of
America for 15 years, along with her twin
daughters. During this time with the Girl
Scouts, she has enjoyed participating in many
community service projects.
Her time away from work is spent with her
husband training and playing with her black
Labrador puppy. She also participates in Yoga,
kickboxing and other challenging classes at her
gym. Although her job can be quite demanding,
family time has always been a priority for her. |

Lorraine
Jackson Director of Business Development
Lorraine has been
with the firm since 1981. She enjoys
working here because "we are a plaintiff firm
and my job is rewarding because we help people
during a difficult time in their life resulting
from personal injury claims." What she
likes most about the firm is that everyone,
including partners, associates and staff, work
together as a team.
Over the years, the firm has
participated in a variety of team building
activities including skiing and river
rafting. Also, the Partners support
their employees both professionally and
personally.
Currently, Lorraine is a
Board Member of the Century City Chamber of
Commerce and was named Outstanding Woman of
Achievement (2002) by the Century City
Chamber of Commerce. She is also a Women's
Advisory Board Member of Michel Financial Group,
plus a Recipient of the President's Award from
the Consumer Attorneys Association of
Los Angeles (1998, 2000 and 2001).
She is also the
Spokesperson for the American Cancer Society
inspired by a personal experience with breast
cancer 7 years ago. In May, 2002, Lorraine
established The Lorraine Jackson Foundation
which provides college scholarships for
children who have lost a parent due to breast
cancer. To date, they have awarded 4
college scholarships. The scholarship recipients
are attending UCLA, Tufts University and
Georgetown University. |

Jerry
Berger Legal Assistant Paralegal
Jerry came to work for the firm in 2002,
after more than 20 years in the legal field,
and has been a part of the team ever since. He
enjoys continually being challenged at his job,
with new tasks and learning new things. He appreciates knowing that he can express his
own opinion about a case and having that opinion
considered. Jerry shares the benefit of his
own personal and professional experiences
with new associates.
He is also not one to sit idly by in his
personal time. He keeps himself and his mind
active by reading and writing, as well as
watching a myriad of television shows
ranging from old movies, sci-fi, news and
stock market programs. He also enjoys
various genres and styles of music. He and his
wife care for two birds (1 English budgie
and 1 American budgie).
Jerry enjoys looking up obscure information
on the internet and is a master at online
investigation. |

Plaintiff Litigation. She has a degree in

Jan
Hansen
Jan has over 25 years as a paralegal in many
areas of the law, but particularly personal
injury. She especially enjoys the challenge of
medical malpractice cases where crucial details
are often buried in voluminous records as well
as the sometimes hectic atmosphere of a team
working to get justice for injured plaintiffs.
In her spare time, Jan enjoys travel,
reading history books, sporting events
(especially NFL games), visiting historical
sites and exploring museums, keeping up on
current events and world politics and squeezing
in the odd round of golf.
